Ty is currently Lead Editor at PURSUIT FILMS(formerly FireThief) alongside filmmaker, director and producer, Jeremy Charles. (Read Cut-Daily's 2026 article for more info)
With an education in journalism Ty has worked in professional studio environments and productions for well over 15 years. He's picked up 9 Heartland Emmys for his work on Osiyo TV | Voices of the Cherokee People, a Telly Award and others.
His work has been featured in major publications; such as, Alternative Press. His cuts have been seen on major networks and platforms, in major film festivals, as well as, installations at the First Americans Museum in OKC.
As a writer he has a long list of published articles and interviews with artists Tom Morello, K. Flay Phantogram, A Perfect Circle and comedian Fred Armisen, among many others. Ty was also a contributing writer for Frame io's Insiders Blog.
In 2023 he cut 2 short proof-of-concept films, The Killing Ground and Charlie Mike. Both became fully funded features. In 2023-2025 he cut - and graded - two feature length films, “Reverence”(Saban Films), by writer director, Kyle Harris and “The Huntsman” starring Garret Dillahunt and Shawn Ashmore -released in February of 2026.
Ty and Pursuit Films begin post on “Butchers War”, starring Aaron Eckhart, in late June of 2026.
